Nikol is looking for volunteer knitters and designers for knitwear burlesque show. Details here.
Wherein I nerd out on business only of interest to knitters:
- I love, love, love the new Berroco booklet that was advertised in my e-mail this morning, Yin & Yang. Okay, well, I don't love the vests. The vests are hideous. But the Sanpoku cardigan? That cardigan is lovely and wearable. There's something... I don't know -- Eileen Fisher, maybe? -- about it. It also reminds of some of the more unusual pieces I've picked up at anthropologie. (I pooh-poohed Eileen Fisher for ages. I thought it was too "comfortable" to be chic on anyone but an elderly Japanese sculptor. I was wrong.)
- My Jordana Paige satchel arrived! Just in time to go with me to Excelsior Springs for the weekend. I can't wait.
- Speaking of the retreat, I learned the German twisted long tail cast on for my glove class and I have to say I love the edge it produces. It might be my new favorite cast on.
No good comes from cyber stalking being a devoted fan.
At some point you cross a line and you start thinking you have a relationship with your victim hero. And when they pull the internet equivalent of not returning your calls -- not posting to their blog for more than a month -- you're hurt. You start to wonder what you did wrong.
Was it something I said, Eunny?
I'm participating in the Runagogo Run-along and the We Call Them Pirates Knitalong.
